"The Sun Is Healing the Earth": A Message from This Side of the Veil
Yesterday I had a session with a beautiful horse who lives on a farm on the East Coast. As we talked, she told me that lately she has been loving her time outside, soaking up the sun.
Then she shared something I haven't stopped thinking about. She said, simply and clearly: "The sun is healing the Earth."
Along with her words, she sent me images of what she experiences while she stands in the sunlight. What I saw was a shower of light, tiny shimmering particles falling all around her in a rainbow of jewel-toned colors. It was like standing inside a gentle rain of light. It was one of the loveliest things an animal has ever shown me.
How Animals Share Their World
Animals don't only communicate in words. They often share pictures, feelings, and sensations. When an animal sends me an image, I'm getting a glimpse of the world through their eyes. This horse wasn't just telling me she enjoys the warmth. She was showing me how she perceives the light itself, as something alive, colorful, and healing.
Animals live close to the natural world in a way many of us have forgotten. They notice the energy of the sun, the earth, and the seasons, and they take time to simply receive it. Her message is a gentle reminder that we can do the same.
Try This with Your Animal Companion
The next time you're outside together on a sunny day, pause for a few minutes. Notice where your animal chooses to rest or stand. Close your eyes, feel the warmth on your skin, and breathe. Let yourself just be with them in the light. You may be surprised by what you notice, and by how peaceful it feels.
I'm so grateful to this lovely horse for sharing her view of the world, and for reminding me that healing light is all around us whenever we slow down long enough to receive it.
